How to fight intestinal dysbiosis and help our second "brain" function well

In our body, especially within the intestine, billions of bacteria live in symbiosis with us. Their equilibrium, called eubiosis, is an important condition for the preservation of our health. It is no coincidence that incorrect nutrition, resulting from a poor lifestyle that alters the sleep-wake rhythm, also produces negative effects on the intestinal function, leading to dysbiosis.

Another cause of "imbalance" is the intake of drugs such as antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, contraceptive and anxiolytic, which not only accentuate the symptomatic expression of intestinal dysbiosis but also are a source because they damage the bacterial flora. In addition, the flora may be altered due to the intake of heavy metals such as aluminium, mercury or lead ingested through food.

The alteration of the qualitative and quantitative balance of the intestinal bacterial flora can be a major factor in the presence of constipation and the so-called "irritable colon" (the alternation between periods of constipation and colitis): mood alteration, gas, abdominal pain, poor digestion (dyspepsia), bad breath, and skin discoloration.

The general effects of dysbiosis are many and very important: decreased immune activity, dysmetabolism (increased cholesterol, triglycerides, blood glucose and uricemia), predisposition to infections, light-headedness, recurrent cystitis, allergies, increased throat abnormalities (such as tonsillitis and pharyngitis), tracheitis, bronchitis, difficulty losing weight, and hair loss

Therefore, intestinal dysbiosis is viewed as a state of illness that undermines the quality of life of the individual affected.

How to risolve? The answer is Test Floraa

Sluggishness, swelling, flatulence, constipation and allergies are often due to a unbalanced relationship between NAT bacteria and PAT bacteria present within the intestinal flora. A simplification that indicates that there are "good" micro-organisms, or natural (NAT) and harmful microorganisms, or pathogens (PAT). At Villa Eden you can take a very simple exam, the TestFlora, which consists in analysing a fecal sample to extract the DNA of your intestinal bacteria. This analysis is more complete than the dysbiosis urine test, since the bacteria’s DNA reveals the presence and concentration of each type of microorganism in de tail.

Their proportions determine the health of each organ and the well-being of the whole organism. And, as we all know, “regularity” is one of the first markers of an ideal physical condition, as well as a good mood. Once the percentages of bacteria concentration have been identified, it is possible to choose the therapy, in a highly personalized way, through the ad- ministration of supplements and probiotics as well as the proper nutrition, calibrating everything according to the needs of the person. Mapping our intestinal flora and correcting the imbalances can help to resolve many disorders, in a simple manner.
